Collins 26W Limiting Amplifier
For sale is a very rare vintage Collins 26-W mono tube compressor. These sound incredible, similar to a vintage Fairchild. Big huge transformers, loads of tubes. Stunning unit to behold. It's fully functional and in great shape for its age. Our tube tech commented that "this unit appears to be one of the fastest response compressors I have ever seen in a tube limiter of this age. It sounds incredible for smashing drums. Comparing it to the schematic it seems to be in original unmodified condition." Our tech serviced the unit as needed, replaced all the electrolytic capacitors and some film caps. Updated / cleaned up in/out and power cable and added a power switch. These hardly ever show up for sale, don't miss out!
