For sale is a rare vintage Lydkraft Tube-Tech CL 1A Opto Tube Compressor. This is the predecessor to the classic CL-1B. The CL-1A is considered to have more tone, a bit more aggressive and all around a better more-magical sounding unit. Point to point hand wired as opposed to CL-1B's more modern assembly, along with different transformers and other small variations in the circuit design. Considered by some the ultimate vocal compressor. It's in good shape for its age, spent most of its life in a rack from hobbyist's smoke free home studio, unused. It's tested and fully functional, although our technicians recommended to recap the unit due to old original caps. We can perform this service for additional cost, contact us if interested. Some people prefer original untouched caps in their units, so we are currently leaving this as-is. Very hard to find an original vintage TubeTech CL-1A, don't pass this up!
