For sale is a Manley Massive Passive Mastering Edition tube equalizer. It's in great shape with minor signs of wear and fully functional. All tubes were tested as well and test good. These retail for $8399 new, save a bunch here. You might notice on the rear it indicates 220v, but we switched the unit over to 110v operation for use in the USA. We also found on testing that some of the gain stepped knobs (which are all actually knobs and not switches typically found in mastering equipment) do not click as firmly as if they were new, either due to wear or needing cleaning. We cleaned them as best as we could and added lubicrant which seemed to improve their clicks, but some still feel smoother with less of a hard-stop click than others. They are all still completely usable and this is only provided as extra information for full transparency. It will only impact operation if you are wanting to perform recall, on gain knobs that operate more smoothly you'll have to be a little more deliberate on counting the clicks as you might not notice it if you turn too roughly/quickly. As far as our research could tell, all Manley Massive Passive mastering versions EQs have stepped knobs put on top of continously variable pots, and are not stepped switches.
