Located in Nashville, Tennessee, Retro Gear Shop carries a unique selection of high-end music instruments, recording equipment and audio gear. We specialize in microphones, compressors, preamps, equalizers, synthesizers, drum machines, samplers, effects and have a serious passion for vintage & used equipment. We started with an obsession for vintage gear, real hardware that was made to last and had that sound. While we don’t sell exclusively vintage equipment, we do focus on vintage, used and modern equipment that harks back to an era where quality and sound came above all else, before digital existed and before we had a computer and mouse to change values on a screen.

We don’t strive to carry every piece of gear under the sun. All the gear in our shop is hand-selected for its quality of build and sound, pieces of gear we’d be happy to own and use in our studio. We won’t talk anything up just for the sake of a sale and we won’t sell you “hot items” of the day just because it’s the “newest-latest-greatest”. We only sell items we really believe in, pieces meant to make great music, and everything we sell we’ve had first hand experience using in the studio. If there is a must-have item or piece of gear you need that isn’t in our shop, please contact us and we’ll do our best to accommodate and secure the item for you.
