"Fairchild Recording Equipment was founded in 1931 by entrepreneur Sherman Fairchild, to complement his interests in photography and image projection.

Out of production for nearly six decades, FAIRCHILD limiter/compressors had become exceedingly rare and costly to maintain, the original units became “Unobtainium” for most. In 2020 Toni Fishman of TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik, working with a builder in Estonia, found a way to revive the brand Fairchild Recording Equipment and its limiter/compressors. The rebirth of FAIRCHILD has been many years in the making and we are proud to announce that the legend is back!"
