The Natalus Dynamic Stereo Console EQ is hand built with top of the line components and crafted to perfection. There is nothing like this on the market today. With Single ended class A amplifiers, transformer in/out, 4 band overlapping LCR inductor passive eq with low cut and 4 bands of overlapping frequency control, this stereo console is packed with features for quality sound recording and producing.

The Natalus Dynamic Stereo Console EQ is hand built with top of the line components and crafted to perfection. There is nothing like this on the market today. With Single ended class A amplifiers, transformer in/out, 4 band overlapping LCR inductor passive eq with low cut and 4 bands of overlapping frequency control, this stereo console is packed with features for quality sound recording and producing.
All functions are single controlled stepped switches in stereo.
Simple ergonomic control panel layout.
Nixie tube meters for input level display.
A wide frequency response 7hz-150khz.
Stereo tracking and tolerance within +/- 0.1db tracking per side.
Carnhill input and output transformers and low frequency inductors.
No zobels.
High quality and long lasting Grayhill switches.
Originally designed, solid state, high voltage 110v single ended class A amplifiers with no electrolytic capacitors in the signal path.
High grade resistors and film capacitors and inductors.
All through hole components.
3oz copper circuit boards.
All eq bands can be selected positive boost/negative cut/ on/off per band.
Eq gain switch (positive or negative) at 1db steps, from 0db to 11db.
High frequency bell or shelf switch.
Low cut is passive, set to a musical yet gentle 6db per octave.
Eq on/off, low cut on/off switches for global eq bypass and low cut on/off function.
Extra outputs to send parallel signals to other devices.
Tape saturation style limiter circuit on the output manipulates “peak level” information.
At moderate input levels +14db gives 14db of headroom between the rms level and the peak level of the transient.
As you turn the headroom down to +8db headroom for example, the perceived level remains the same.
The user can thus be assured that any perceived change, and or improvement in sonics is legitimate and not just a product of loudness.
The harder you drive the input, “peak level” responds directly by saturating the harmonic information of the source signal. This keeps transients in check and has a “bloom” effect on any sound put through the circuit.
Working entirely in the digital domain, with it’s absolute resolution so often leaves many users underwhelmed. The capture of voltage and conversion to binary code, and it’s so called “lack of musicality” is a source of much argument in the pro audio community.
