Intellijel Multigrain Live Stereo Morphing Granular Sampler

With the immense sonic potential of granular synthesis, Multigrain can transform your audio samples and live input into everything from ethereal ambient drones to sputtering, alien machine techno, and virtually everything else in between. With ample assignable modulation inputs and real-time, performance-focused controls, the only limit is your imagination.

Part of a Nutritious Microsound Diet
Multigrain is an eight-channel stereo morphing granular sampler and live audio processor. Layer grains and sequence from the eight available Sounds—each one loaded from your microSD sample library, or recorded directly on the module. Each of the eight Sound Buttons plays grains generated from its own sample or the live input; its own pair of Scenes—two completely different sets of granular parameters; a dedicated Morphing Fader and CV allow you to smoothly morph between these two Scenes. Dedicated Select, Next and Gate CV inputs allow you to sequence the playback of all eight Sounds.

Assignable X/Y/Z CV as well as an internal Random S&H generator, can be applied to any and all granular parameters at once. Assignable MOD A/B Outputs let you modulate other modules in time with Multigrain.

Projects and Presets allow you to save, load, and organize different sets of samples and settings. 48kHz 24-bit Stereo I/O and 32-bit floating point internal processing for Hi-Fi output.

• Eight Sounds available at once — Each Sound can be freely assigned from the MicroSD card, by sampling directly into the module, or generate grains from Live Input
• Latch your sound for drones or use unlatched for percussive bursts of sound
• Morph Sounds between two Scenes — Two individual sets of parameters for each Sound
• 13 Dedicated Granular Parameters — 10 Per-Knob Functions, 3 Behaviour Toggles
• Built-in Per-Sound Pitch Quantizer
• Clock Sync toggle and Input
• Blur (HiFi Reverb) — Process your grains and L/R Inputs through a unique reverb

• Two Sampling workflows, a classic Rec/Stop/Save Sampler/Resampler and a tape-loop style Looping Recorder—
- Sample the L/R Inputs directly or…
- Resample (internally) the L/R Outputs to reprocess your new sounds or…
- Capture loops with automatic crossfading of the loop point
- Optional Normalize (on save) feature for maximum dynamic range
- 32 Second Always-Listening recording buffer — Capture the sounds you thought you missed
- Advanced Sample Trimming UI built into the module

• Use dedicated Next, Select and Gate CV to surf or sequence through Sounds

• Four Assignable Channels of Modulation—
- Three Assignable CV inputs
- Internal Random Source — Per-Parameter
- All are assignable with attenuvertion to any and all parameters at once
- Many Parameters have special random handling for stereo effect and probability.

• Two Freely Assignable 48KHz Modulation Outputs—
- Morph Position
- Grain Trigger
- Grain Envelope
- Grain Pitch
- Envelope follower (Input Signal)
- Envelope follower (Output Signal)
- Random Sample & Hold via Grain Trigger
