For sale is a rare vintage UTC HA-100x black transformer. Apparently these black versions are made earlier than the later grey ones and have a more distinct vintage character due to slightly different metal compositions. Likely pre 1950s if not earlier due to the early badge this unit has. We have come across other vintage HA-100x with similar black casing / pinout as this one. It was tested and measures similar to other HA-100x's we've had here. Can be a desirable option if you are wanting to impact more tone or flavor in your signal path. It includes a modern-made mounting plate that should make it easy to attach to your LA-2A. This has been tested for continuity and shorts by our techs, as well as tested and working in an LA-2A by previous owner that it was recently pulled out of. We have sold HA-100x regularly in the $1500 - $2000 price range per transformer.
