Sequential Circuits Prophet-600 Polyphonic Synthesizer + Case as-is

For sale is a rare vintage Sequential Circuits Prophet 600 61-Key 6-Voice Polyphonic Analog Synthesizer. Unfortunately it sustained some water damage. Please contact us for updated photos on its condition. The case also has some water damage and will not be included, but can be included for no extra costs except additional shipping costs. We recommend to bubblewrap/pack the synth in a box and ship the case separately in its own box. Our techs assessment of the condition: 

The bad:
- Wooden end cheeks are discolored. 
- Hardware throughout the synth is rusted.
- Rust has permeated to nearby surfaces. 
- The battery went bad and rusted causing corrosion on the CPU/PSU PCB.
- The case foam has deteriorated.
- Some components need to be replaced: battery, tantalum caps, hardware, etc.
- Can't power up to test until the corrosion and rust is thoroughly cleaned.

The good:
- The keyboard looks okay. We might have to take the membranes apart to clean under them, but it doesn't look like there is corrosion on the keyboard surfaces that are visible.
- The pots and switches are not seized
- The power transformer was isolated for testing. It has been under power for over 30 mins and is working correctly, showing no signs of shorts or opens in the windings.
- It shouldn't be too hard to remedy the damage. We estimate it will require 4-6 hours of work to get the synth to a point where it is safe to power up and test functionality (and may require additional servicing at that point once we assess it's functional condition).

We can service the synth for additional cost if interested, but in it's current condition, it is sold as-is, for parts/repairs, no warranties, guarantees, refunds or returns.
