For sale is a rare vintage Altec 1567A 5x1 Tube Microphone Mixer Amplifier. It's in excellent shape for its age, very well maintained and appears to be all original components inside. It is tested and functional, everything is working as it should. Our techs did inspect it and recommend the following service as preventative maintenance as follows:
- 3 tubes measure poorly
- All original caps, recommend recapping
- Needs 5 input pigtails and 1 output pigtail
The unit is in great shape and sounds good, so a recap would be preventative.
For our shop to perform the service, a recap would be $560. Three tubes tested mediocre on our tube tester (2 x 12AX7, 1 x 6CG7 = approximately $100 to replace with new tubes, or choose NOS vintage premium tubes per taste, we have many in stock). To wire it up with pigtails would be $90.
Since the unit is all original, we are leaving these options up to the new buyer. If you'd like to have it serviced in-house by our tech shop, please message us, we can provide that for additional cost.
