Here is a sight you don't see every day! For sale is a rare vintage Altec 639B "Bird-cage" mic including matching original base. It's in great shape and fully functional. What makes this mic extra special is it came from the New York City United Nations (we purchased a large collection of microphones that originally belonged to NYC UN). See the photo as an example showing these exact mics used decades ago in the United Nations (photo not included in this sale). Further research online will yield additional similar photos showing these microphones in use. The Altec 639B is identical to the Western Electric 639B but under a different name.
