Ampex 601 Reel-to-Reel Stereophonic
For sale is a rare Ampex 601 reel-to-reel tape machine recorder. It's in nice cosmetic condition for its age. Our techs' assessment is as follows:
- Unit Powers up and passes audio through each unit.        
- Channel 1 (top) has a scratchy mic rec level volume pot and does not record. It also has a hum. 
- Channel 2 (bottom) records but sounds very dull.        
- While monitoring the tape you still have a bit of bleed from the rec input on both channels
