For sale is a rare vintage Ampex MX35 4-channel mic / line preamp tube mixer. What's special about this unit is it came from original long-time owner (very rare to find a one-owner piece of Ampex gear considering its age) and was very lightly used, spending most of its life in climate controlled storage. It includes a very nice case as well as premium pictured vintage tubes (which all test good!), including 6x Bugle Boy EF86 and 1x 12AU7. These tubes can sell for $100 - $200+ per tube, so the tube value alone is approximately $700 - $1400. The unit is tested and functional. It does have all original components including original capacitors (highly recommended by our techs to have the unit recapped, we can do this servicing for additional cost, contact us if interested). Due to being in such clean and all original condition, we have not performed any servicing. Includes power cable. We rarely find vintage pieces so well maintained, if you've been looking for a clean MX-35, don't pass this up!
