Excellent cosmetic condition. Turbo edition OS V2.6. One of the coolest upgraded SP-12's you will find. A super clean example with only minor signs of wear. Hard to find an SP12 in such nice shape.
Has super nice upgrades including restoration & mod work:
- LCD removed, inverter removed (lowers SP noise floor).
- Installed Noritake Blue VFD display with custom mounting. Allows viewing angle from any angle up to a few feet away. Superior to LED.
- Custom sky blue rubberized fader caps.
- Custom blue LEDs (super bright)
- Volume, Metronome, and Sample knobs replaced with brand new knobs.
-All buttons and fader housings pulled apart and cleaned inside before reassembly. All buttons work with 1 gentle button press now.
- Power supply recapped
- Original canister style internal battery removed and replaced with a CR2002 battery holder + CR2002 battery. (CR2002 battery is a standard watch battery type. Can now be user replaced without soldering).
- Outputs cleaned and noise free
- Filters calibrated
- Sample input mod which allows you to monitor sample input via Mix Out with headphones or speakers without the need for a mixer.
This SP12 is a classic drum machine that gets you the feel and tone of the SP1200, with 5 seconds of sampling on the Turbo version. It also has awesome built in sounds so you can get straight to making beats. A more affordable solution for getting the SP1200 sequencing and crunch.
