Daniel N. Flickinger 226-7 tube limiter compressor, what looks to be a prototype to the 226-9. Incredibly rare tube compressor / limiter from the 1960s, estimated to have been built in 1966-1967. Supposedly only 15-20 226-9 were made and maybe only 10 left in existence. UTC HA-134 , UTC HA-114 & UTC HA-33 transformers with 4x 6386 tubes, 2x 6550 power output tubes. Includes external power supply. Some say this is similar to a Fairchild 670 compressor in mono but entirely with its own unique sound. Fully functional, fitted with new tubes and includes some spare tubes. The 226-9 is considered one of the most rare classic, obscure and legendary audio limiters ever built. Apparently used on Stevie Wonder's vocals for Innervision and bass guitar on Aerosmith's Sweet Emotion. Once in a lifetime chance to own this one of a kind piece, don't miss out on this fantastic historical unit!
