The Manley Stingray II represents the evolution of the acclaimed Stingray integrated amplifier, incorporating enhanced power supply capacity, refined circuit topology, and expanded connectivity while preserving the musical character of the original design. Hand-built in California, this all-tube integrated amplifier employs a quartet of EL84 output tubes with switchable Triode and Ultra-Linear operation, delivering comprehensive system control with vacuum tube amplification throughout the signal path.
All-tube command center with switchable output topology
The Stingray II provides complete integrated amplification through its vacuum tube architecture, utilizing EL84 pentodes in push-pull configuration. Switchable Triode mode delivers 20 watts per channel with enhanced harmonic structure and dimensional imaging, while Ultra-Linear mode provides 40 watts per channel with increased dynamic capability and extended bandwidth. This topology flexibility enables precise matching to loudspeaker efficiency and musical content preferences.
Modern connectivity with integrated headphone amplification
The amplifier incorporates contemporary features while maintaining analog signal integrity. A front-panel headphone output automatically mutes main speaker and subwoofer connections when engaged, enabling dedicated headphone listening. An auxiliary 1/8" input accommodates portable devices and computer sources. The advanced remote control operates via both infrared and omnidirectional RF transmission, providing wireless volume, balance, and input selection from any room position.
Enhanced power supply for extended dynamic performance
Each Stingray II is hand-assembled at Manley's California facility with significantly increased power supply energy storage compared to the original design. This enhanced reservoir capacitance delivers improved transient response and extended low-frequency control. Built with premium vacuum tubes and components throughout, the Stingray II embodies decades of Manley's high-fidelity amplifier engineering for long-term reliability and musical accuracy.
