For sale is a rare vintage pair of Neumann KM 84 i microphones. Serial numbers date these to 1975 and 1976. Come from original owner who took exceptional care of them and were lightly and seldomly used in a church setting, primarily for orchestral and choir recordings at a distance. Notable history is these mics were used in recording Richard Nixon's speech at Woody Hayes funeral (video link can be provided to winning buyer if desired). Hard to find in this type of condition. Fully functional and sound awesome. Includes original mic boxes and mic shockmounts (original tension bands holding mounts together have long gone bad so rubber bands are currently holding them together). Also includes non original shockmounts and mic clips that work great and wind-shields. Classic Neumann mics, don't miss out!
Here is a short demo video of a couple improvised performances on acoustic guitar and voice. Recorded with a single vintage Neumann KM84i microphone going through a vintage Telefunken v76m microphone tube preamp into a Lynx Aurora(n) converter.
