Neve 1263 Pair
For sale is a very rare pair of vintage Neve 1263 line amp microphone pres which are germanium versions of the 1272. This custom built rack also utilizes 283 or 284 silicone line amp cards from a Neve 8068 console and vintage period correct Gardner transformers octal sockets. When Neve started out, they were using germanium transistors before transitioning over to silicone (such as a 1057 being the germanium version of a 1066). These 1263 germanium line amps hardly ever show up for sale. If the high-power switch is off, it's just straight 1263 germanium line amps. If you turn on the high-power switch, then signal also passes through the silicone line amp cards with an extra 30db of gain.
