For sale is a rare vintage RCA 77D ribbon microphone. It's in great shape for its age, tested and fully functional. Includes soft cover bag and printed instructions copy. Fully refurbished with a new ribbon a few years back by Clarence Kane. This unit is owned by David Hungate, renowned bass guitarist and founding member of Toto and session musician in Nashville, having played on dozens of classic records (Boz Scaggs, Alice Cooper, Rosanne Cash, Shania Twain and many more).
Here is a short demo video of a couple improvised performances on banjo, acoustic guitar and voice. Recorded with a single vintage RCA 77D ribbon microphone going through a vintage Telefunken v76m microphone tube preamp into a Lynx Aurora(n) converter.
