For sale is an incredibly rare Reeves Sound Studio CPA-102 tube comp. One of a kind. It's in excellent shape for its age and fully functional. Amazing tone. Includes PSU. Serviced by Studio Electronics David Kulka in 2011. From Hazard "Buzz" Reeves and Reeves Sound Studios (Preservation Sound has a lot of info Hazard Reeves and Reeves Sound Studios). Most significantly RSS was used for Riverside Records jazz recordings including Thelonius Monk, Charlie Parker and John Coltrane. Monk and Coltrane frequented RSS during the spring and summer of 1957, and most likely the recordings used this CPA102 (or the Reeves CRA-100B compressor which we have for sale in another listing). This is a unique vintage piece of recording history, don't pass this up!
