For sale is a rare vintage pair of UA LA3A Leveling Amplifier limiter/compressor. These come with a couple useful mods. Comp/limit switch has been moved to the front for easier access (normally it's on the rear). Rear comp/limit switch on the rear now controls on/off (you can easily power these up/down with a surge protector, but having comp/limit on the front is much more useful than having to reach behind a rack for access). It also has the power-station mod (aka Clearmountain mod or the Ed Evans mod (power station tech). A common mod, it changes a single resistor that changes the gain structure, so instead of needing gain controls at 3 you can have it to 12 o'clock. Gives you more flexibility in control. So some nice upgrades from a regular version. These units sound fantastic. Can easily restore this unit to stock condition without the mods if desired at no-cost, just message us if interested in that. Don't miss out!
